"Lifelink" the aura and "Spirit Link", the aura, do NOT do the same thing, either before OR after the rules cha nge. Spirit Link gives the life to Spirit Link's controller. Lifelink gives the life to the enchanted creature's controller. The rules change has no effect on this. Spirit Link is a pacifism. Lifelink is not. It sucks to see so many cards being functional or tweaked reprints. But then again, is not telling the whole truth automatically a lie? I know, they have to sell cards and make M10 appealing for the community but i agree with you that they just should have told us right from the start that a bunch of the new cards are in fact not really new.
