We found that Garruk regularly overwhelmed Liliana before she could get going. At one point, I was playing Liliana and thought I had the Garruk deck with a howling banshee bringing down the life and a Sign in Blood in hand, when by opponent dropped a plated slagworm and rancor -- pretty much the game.
