Ender’s Game Walkthrough #1 – UWr v. 4 Color Control

In this video Power 9 Pro member Pedro Rodriguez hits the equivalent of the tournament practice room on Magic Workstation. Watch as he explains why he makes his decisions so that you can contribute to the discussion about better ways to play that game. Even though this time was against a random opponent, keep watching this space for matchup videos done with the help of other members of Power 9 Pro and the community.

“The video is more of an experiment this time. More than anything I am looking for ways to make it better so that it can become a very common and entertaining part of Power 9 Pro and TCGPlayer. I made a couple mistakes I would not usually make, but that is part of Magic: doing things right in the face of really, anything. ” -Pedro Rodriguez

You named the episode after my favorite book! Props!

    Looking forward to more vids!

  2. Ender says:

Actually if you go to TheMagicArena.com my entire article series is called Ender’s Game. Absolutely love that book and the rest of the series. Also like The Power of One for its similarities.

  3. wills says:

That was nice to watch. Maybe turn down the game volume a bit?

The only play issue I wondered about was when you ran out the sphinx game 1. There were a lot of cards milled at that point so I don’t know what your best option was, but it seemed like maybe you could have popped your capsules on his turn to dig for counters and extra lands so that you could have had a chance to protect the sphinx if you cast it the next turn.
