path to exile seems pretty substandard off BBE….

Alright, when I started building for standard when zendikar first came out, I immediately built naya. To me it was obvious because every card was a substantial threat on it’s on (baneslayer, thoctar, scute mob, reliquary) and the other cards were just flat out good (path, bolt, ajani, bloodbraid, etc.). Also, the deck could come out relatively fast. In testing, I found that sometime a turn three thoctar would just get there. The only reason I didn’t play it at tournaments was because I didn’t have the money for baneslayer. Now I really don’t have the money for angel because it’s gone up 15 to 20 dollars since I first built the deck, but I have literally had this “lightsaber” deck proxied in a deck box for two months. I frankly didn’t understand why nobody was building this deck (people with the budget anyway). Seriously, everything you are saying in this podcast seemed so obvious to me two months ago… I don’t know why it took pros so long to figure this out…. overrated?
