  1. Nice show Djinn, don’t leave it so long next time :)

  2. Conley says:

Im bummed that PTQs are so important for this PoY race due to the fact that I am not allowed to play in them. Everyone keeps yelling at me for wanting to get involved locally because of how I am doing on the Pro Circuit, but I think it is equally important to stay grounded and enjoy the local scene etc.

With PTQs being 3x points and the most frequent way to earn points, it is nearly impossible for someone who can’t play in them to have a shot at this title… stinks but I guess I’ll live :(

  3. Tangent says:

Come on now Conley leave some glory for the rest of us ;) j/k. Always great when you put out a show Almighty Djinn!

  4. The_Immortal_Djinn says:

@ Russell & Tangent—-thanks for listening, guys! I’m already starting my next one, so hopefully I can string a few together without such a long time in between. :-)

@ Conley—-Ha! You’re bummed that you can’t play in a PTQ. I’m bummed that I don’t get appearance fees where ever I go. What are the two of us going to do about this dilemma? :-b I think your involvement is fine in our local community, as long as you play in the events you can and keep representing, you’re good to go.

  5. Ryan says:

    Nice show dude.

  6. Omniszron says:

Thanks for the shout out in the episode. The nick is pronounced “omnishron” but “omnizron” sounds cool too. ;)

Anyway, thanks for pumping out another episode. I was wondering if you can stay at the high level you set with the previous outing and man – you delivered. This one was probably even better than the previous one and well worth the wait.

As for the frequency of the episodes, I know I’d like to have the Playground as often as possible, but I totally understand you don’t want to produce watered-down content. It’s always awesome to have a new episode pop-up and if takes you a couple months, then tough, but do keep on producing them.

This episode had some great stuff in it. Surprisingly, all of the topics you covered had something to do with my tournament experiences in the past month. Plus the introspective segment was really nice. That was some nice deep shit.

I also loved the segment about tournament preparations. The showering bit made me laugh out loud. So true.

Man, this podcast is mesmerising. Keep up the good work.

  7. OSUBeavBane says:

Hey man love the podcast. This is my first time listening to it. Really great stuff. I’m going to check out your past ones. Keep them coming.

  8. roon says:

Nice podcast! Are you Djinn on Magic-League by the way?

  9. The_Immortal_Djinn says:

Ryan & OSUBeavBane – Gracias, amigos!

Omniszron – My plan is to keep on truckin’. I’m hoping to do a state championship ‘victory’ podcast in the next couple weeks. Considering it’s likely going to be the only tournament I’ll get to play him in, I predict I will meet Conley in the Finals and proceed to take him downtown to Chinatown—Mutton Chops and all. ;-b Thanks for listening, brother.

roon – I am not Djinn on Magic-League. He is a dirty, filthy imposter. Probably hands and feet better at Magic than me, but a dirty, filthy imposter none the less. There can be only one Djinn. But you already knew that. :-) Many thanks for listening, compadre.

  10. Lord Faust says:

Great podcast; the line of “just so you know, the callouses are healing…” was just gold. I actually had to listen to it twice. Now THAT is quality innuendo.

    Keep up the great work!

  11. Eoin says:

just curious what was up with the old episodes. i listened to this episode first, and really dug it. (particularly the “slice of life djinn crashing a highschool prom drunken low” moment).

i had listened to this episode a few times over the past month or so, so i got back on to check out the previous episodes. thing is, i can only go back to episode 12. what gives?
