Sorry for the delay on part 3. This one is the end of GP Denver. Alex Lee joins us for about 25 minutes. The bus gets turbo charged for the next 1 hour 50 mins after that as Chapin, Kibler, Black and the winner of the Grand Prix, Gerry Thompson, take control and talk about everything from the GP to poker to stories of old school magic players. We thank all of our guests for having a good time on the cast with us and all of you for listening. Normal Magic School Bus glory will continue this weekend.

Part two of the Mythic GP:Denver PodCast. In this segment, Rob actually chimes in and gives his 20 seconds worth of interaction as we get to talk to former pro Brian Kibler. Patrick Chapin and US Nationals team member Sam Black also join us for this hour.

Once Kibler gets the word he needs to leave to play his next round, the School Bus picks up Steve Sadin, Antonino De Rosa, and Paul Cheon.

This is the Prelude to the epic cast from Grand Prix Denver. While still editing the cast from the GP, James talks about the winning deck.

There were so many tournaments over the weekend there is barely enough time to cover everything in one show. On a side not, this is the second shortest school bus aired yet. You can make short bus jokes if you want, but Reynolds did not join us this week, so those jokes would be moot. We cover the top 8 of the United States National Championship, where fellow Coloradoan (not sure that’s a word) almost took it down. Canadian, French and Italian nationals were covered as well as GP Kobe where a new deck emerged called “Faeries” to win the whole thing. There is discussion of the new red heavy archetypes appearing in Standard and Block with some.

The MSB Institute for Advanced Magic Studies has a quick run down on bluffs and examples of how to use your opponents knowledge against him (or the rare occasional her).

Next week, Rob and James, along with Reynolds and Alex Lee will be making a stop on the bus as we do another live cast from the Holiday Inn DIA (or whatever it’s called now) for the second Grand Prix Denver. You never know, maybe some A list celeb players will be getting a ride as well.

We have many guests on the show this week, and everyone was pretty tired from over 12 hours of Magic. Though one of the more racy episodes we have ever had, we had a lot of fun in a very casual atmosphere.
