It looks like you can soulbond with creatures you don’t control, but it will immediately be unpaired because you don’t control the other creature.
No, you can’t. From the AVR FAQ:
702.92a. Soulbond is a keyword that represents two triggered abilities. “Soulbond” means “When this creature enters the battlefield, if you control both this creature and another creature and both are unpaired, you may pair this creature with another unpaired creature you control for as long as both remain creatures on the battlefield under your control” and “Whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control, if you control both that creature and this one and both are unpaired, you may pair that creature with this creature for as long as both remain creatures on the battlefield under your control.”
There’s a restriction that you control both creatures in order to pair them in the first place.
Just a note:
Spectral Prison isn’t affected by abilities, just spells . That means equipment doesn’t make it drop.
A quick note on Spectral Prison:
you mentioned that it would be terrible if the opponent had equipment they could use to target the creature it enchants, but you missed the fact that the enchantment only cares about SPELLS targeting the creature, not abilities.
Still a pretty bad card, but it seemed worth clarifying.

Just wanted to note that scroll of griselbrand has an application you didnt cover altough quite narrow. If your opponent is topdecking you can take away their draw step because its instant speed discard and you probably want to use it late to give you a chance to put a demon in play. Its not amazing but better than giving your opponent the choice.

I wouldn’t underrate Nightshade Peddler or Haunted Guardian. Together they are a nice block combo, also Aggravate is a great way to take out some baddie with both on the field or even just 1 of the 2 cards. As well as guise of fire is a doable if its going in your deck anyways.
I am kind of slow at reading cards, so I have to learn them beforehand and your review helps me a lot.
I like that you cover the whole set at once and you manage to do it before the pre-release. I find your reviews quite reliable, you miss at some cards, but most of the time you are spot on.
I also very much appreciate that unlike other reviewers, you are reasoning about your ratings, so it is easier to learn to evaluate cards for limited. The tension between you two is also perfect – makes you miss less and me think harder.
Keep up the good work, I am looking forward to next episodes, I guess you will be covering rares and mythics and the archetypes.

Quick question- would it ever be worth putting Unhallowed Pact on your own good creature?
Playing it to protect your bomb seems fine in some circumstances. I’d just be wary of playing it into removal, and probably wouldn’t do it at all against Blue since they have so much playable bounce.

The only thing i want to add is that you probably underrated Wingcrafter. This Guy was just the real beating! The Combination with Wolfir, Tandem Lookout, Kruin Striker are just some examples, if they can’t get rid of it he ends the game extremely quickly! Probably the best One-Drop with the Smuggler! Or what do you think?
As other folks have noted, Spectral Prison is at the worst a solid D, probably a D+/C-. (Without the restriction to spells I think your rating would be closer.) You’re not thrilled to have it, but the skies-style decks that want this card _really_ need effects like this. The removal across the board is sketchy enough that even mediocre pseudo-removal is essential.
