This week on Limited Resources Marshall and Jon take a show to dive into the many emails we get here at Limited Resources. We have a hard time keeping up with the emails, but we read every one, and reply to them all (eventually). We thought it would be fun to read some of them on the show.

Great show as always. In regards to your first mailbag question about cards in multiples, I think creatures with activated abilities (especially expensive ones) are a classic example of a card that gets worse in multiples. Some recent examples of cheap creatures that fit that bill would be duty bound dead and nephalia smuggler, both of which are fine 1-drops but do get worse in multiples.
Hello Marshall & Jon! I am in the LR clan on mtgo and have just one question: How do I set up/enroll in a cube draft?
Vis, I think your DBD example is pretty bad. Yes, it becomes hard to regen multiple, but they still give multiple instances of exalted, so it seems like multiples there are where you want to be.
Smuggler is a better example.
^^ I totally agree. Duty-Bound Dead is great in multiples, as that’s kind of the point of exalted. If I could play T1 Duty-Bound Dead, T2 Double Duty-Bound Dead, I wouldn’t be too upset by that. Nephalia Smuggler, however, is pretty bad in multiples.
And Robert, the easiest way is to follow LRcube on twitter, and they’ll tweet when they are starting one and ask for people who’d like to join. I believe they commonly do it on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Ha, I knew I was going to get called on Duty-Bound Dead. Note that I didn’t say he got bad in multiples, just worse. But you guys are right, that’s definitely not true either. Stacking exalted more than makes up for diminishing returns on the regen.
