Chewie, Jack, Chris, & Wil Blanks – The Monday Night Magic News Team!

Yes the Commander’s Arsenal will be pretty expensive at $75.00 but before we judge shouldn’t we wait to see what the other 15 or 16 cards are. We know for sure which 2 are in and the 3rd is almost certainly Command Tower. This community is so quick to judge these things even before everything is spoiled. I know the price point is a big obstacle for a lot of people, I get that. But there could be a lot of great stuff in here(like Sword of F&I, Sword of L&S, Survival of the Fittest, Sensei’s Divining Top, etc..). Point is we just don’t know yet.
@Mike: Survival of the Fittest is on the Reserved List (http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/article.aspx?x=magic/products/reprintpolicy), and will never be reprinted.
Unfortunately, for some players, like myself, even if the collection of cards makes the Commander’s Arsenal worth its $75 pricetag, that doesn’t make it anymore affordable for us. I still think it’s a great product, and I love the counters and life total and hope to be able to pick those up separately one day, so I won’t diss the product for being expensive because it doesn’t look like it will be bad at all. But I can’t afford it, so I won’t be getting it. If enough people do the same, then it won’t sell well and Wizards could get the wrong impression about their next line of Commander products.
I swear I thought Survival wasn’t on the Reserved list. That’s what I get for having bad long term memory skills. How’s about Genesis instead…But I understand the price part. It’s too bad but the MSRP they have it at makes me think there will be a lot of crazy stuff in it.
